Rev. Larry Joe Smith

Rev. Larry J. Smith, age 69, died on July 17, 2010 at Heartland of Eaton. He was born on June 4, 1941 in Ocheyedan, Iowa, son of the late Kenneth Charles & Elizabeth Margaret (Roosendaal) Smith. Larry graduated in 1959 from Ocheyedan High School and proudly served in the US Army for 20 years. Larry received his Masters Degree and was an Ordained Methodist Minister. He also had worked for three years in Avionic at Brookville Air Park and retired in 2003 after 9 years as Chaplain at the Richmond State Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Member of the Preble Amateur Radio Association and the Preble County Council on Aging.

Survived by three children and step children; sister, Shirley Swenson of Ocheyedan, Iowa; brother & sister-in-law, Duane & Shirley Smith of Hanover, Maryland; grandchildren.
