REV. CHARLES F. “FRITZ” ANKNEY, age 77, of Kettering, OH, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at his residence. Born on November 9, 1928 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Charles L. & Charlotte C. (Long) Ankney. He was a 1946 graduate of Fairmont High School , attended Sinclair Community College and graduated from the Dayton Bible Institute. After 45 years in the ministry he retired in 1993 having served in Sidney, OH, Ridgeville, OH, Crump, MI, Cincinnati, OH, Smithville, TN, Valrico, FL and West Alexandria, OH where he pastored at the Community Christian Church. Preceded in death by his grandson: Kevin Darrell Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Ruth Joanne “Tiny” (Blagg) Ankney. Children and Spouses: Kathleen J. Thompson of Sidney, OH, Charles David (Cynthia) Ankney of Harrisburg, PA, Cynthia L. Ankney of Palm Bay, FL, Kenneth O. Dena) Ankney of Franklin, OH, Randy Ankney of Franklin, OH, Brenda L. (Andy) Episcopo of Plant City, FL and Michael S. (Victoria) Ankney of Carlisle, OH. Sisters: Joy E. Jones of New Lebanon, OH, Charlene M. Blackmore of Fairborn, OH and Gail Litton of West Alexandria, OH. 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at the Community Christian Church - 453 S. Main St.- West Alexandria, Ohio 45381 with Pastors Dale McCabe and Doug Bottles officiating. Interment will be held in Trissel Cemetery in New Lebanon, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 24, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Community Christian Church Missionary fund - 453 S. Main St. -West Alexandria, Ohio 45381 or Gethsemane Fellowship - Building Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital - 501 St. Jude Place - Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
