Retta Mae Edrington

RETTA MAE EDRINGTON, age 67, of Camden, OH, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her residence. Born on September 7, 1941 in Owen County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Menifee & Nannie Frances (Kemper) Shields. Retta moved to the Camden area in 1969 and had worked at Oxford View Nursing Home for 27 years, having retired in 2005. She had attended the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Pleasant Home, KY. Preceded in death by her husband: John William Kenneth "Big John" Edrington in 1993.

Survived by Sons: Jeffrey Allen (Amy) Edrington, Anthony Wayne "Tony" (Sharon Roark) Edrington, all of Camden; Daughters: Deanna K. (Earl) Asher, Camden, OH, Corinne M. (Richard "Rick") Wenning, II, Eaton, OH; Brothers: Charles Shields, Haverhill, MA, Gayle Shields, Georgetown, KY, Gola Shields, Bowling Green, KY, Ralph Shields, Frankfort, KY; Grandchildren: Chad Gayhart, Zackary Asher, Cole Edrington, Elizabeth & Alexandria Wenning and Brandi Roark; 2 Great Grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Nein - Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main Street, Camden, OH with Pastor Marvin Hocker, Pastor Larry Davidson and Leon Roberts officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
