Rance A Crane

Rance A. Crane, age 61, of New Paris, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home with his True Love, Dana by his side on Monday, April 19, 2021.  Born on July 24, 1959 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of Robert E. & Suzanne L. (DeLuze) Crane.  He graduated from National Trail High School in 1978. 

Rance was a lifelong musician for many years playing many clubs for years since age 5.  He knew how to play the drums, guitar, bass and was a lead singer in many bands, including; Bob Crane and the Sidewinders, Angus, Continental Rose, Sinamax, Schoolboy Crush, Crane Train, Tuneamatics, Five Star Bash, Groove Dogs and Rance Crane and the Rockerfellers.  

Rance was known for his positive and loving personality. He was his happiest with his family and on stage and could work a room and entertain any crowd. Rance was also known for his goofy and playful nature and most of all, his humility. Rance never knew a stranger.  

Preceded by his Mother, Suzanne L. (DeLuze) Crane; Sister, Chantal Diane Lewis; Daughter, Capucine “Cape” Crane. 

Survived by his Fiancée and True Love, Dana (Corwin) Kovach Crane, Daughter, Chantal Crane; Father, Robert E. Crane; Half Sister, Tammy Dale; Niece, Cantrel (Doug) Decker; Nephew, Shadrick (Amanda) Delk; Brother-in-law, Rick Lewis; Great Nieces, Ciara (Zach) Dawson and their children, Bryn, Maverick and Paxton, Corrynn Decker, Makenzie Delk, Michelle Bratton and Makenzee (Bryson) Ashmore and their child, Hayes; Great Nephews, Caden (Beth) Decker, Ethan (Angela) Delk and their child, Braylee Delk and Mike Beam; many cousins and numerous friends.  

The Family has requested no dress clothes or ties worn by anyone attending the services, jeans and tee shirts are suggested. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, Ohio.  Interment will be held at Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial Contributions are welcome toward the funeral expenses.  Condolences via www.barnesfuneralhome.com
