Ralph F. Lyles

RALPH F. LYLES, 74, of New Paris, Ohio, died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at his residence. Born on January 24, 1934 in Randolph County, Indiana, he was son of the late Curtis & Marinda ( Taylor) Lyles. He retired in 1993 form the American States Insurance Company where he was an insurance adjustor for over 30 years. From 1951 to 1961 he was a member of the United States Air Force. He was a Boy Scout leader with the Webelos, past member of the Richmond Lions Club and served on the 169 Board of L& M Products in Eaton.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Lyles and his granddaughter, Staci Rae Lyles in 1986.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty J.(Shock) Lyles; sons & daughters-in-law, Mark T. Lyles of New Paris, Danny J. & Sharon Lyles of Richmond, Indiana, Scott L. Lyles of New Paris and Paul A. & Melissa Lyles of Richmond, Indiana; grandchildren, Amy Brehm, Justin Lyles, Chelsea Lyles, Lee Ann Markley, Amber Kearney, Hilary Loden, Emily Loden and Joshua Lyles; great grandchildren, Levi Markley , Spencer Brehm, Elijah and Ethan Kearney.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Interment with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
