RALPH A. CASE, age 73 of New Paris, Ohio, died Monday, May 1, 2006 at his residence. Born on July 8, 1932 in Estill County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ed & Cora (Stamper) Case. He was a U.S. Army veteran in the Korean Conflict and had farmed for over 50 years and worked in construction. He was the oldest and a life long member of the American Quarter Horse Association, member of the Southside Baptist Church in Booneville, Arkansas. Past Director of the Palomino Horse Association. He was an avid bull rider. He is preceded in death by brothers: Aubry, Thaxton, Edward, Arlie and Anthony Case and a sister: Margaret Fein.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Carol (McElwee) Case; Sons & daughter-in-law: Tim & Maureen Case of London, Ohio and Mark Case of Ozark, Arkansas; Daughters & sons-in-law: Vicky & Thomas Moore and Valerie & Jonathan Pipenger both of New Paris, Ohio; sisters: Katherine Elmore of Richmond, Indiana and Glydus Bailey of Columbia, Kentucky; Sixteen Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2006 at the Barnes Funeral Home - 109 W. Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with Judy Phillips officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris with military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
