R. Kenneth Ken Ogle

R. Kenneth “Ken” Ogle, age 97 of Gratis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Brookhaven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brookville, Ohio. Born on July 5, 1920 in Springfield, OH he was the son of the late Leslie & Mary (Gordon) Ogle. Ken was a retired self-employed Estate Planner, member of Eaton Church of the Brethren, past member of Rotary International, Masonic Lodge & Shrine of Houston, Texas. Ken loved travel, music, football and baseball--particularly the Cincinnati Reds. He was forever young at heart, boisterous and kind. Never afraid to show emotion, just talking about his family or listening to a hymn could bring tears to his eyes. He was loved by many in his long life and will be missed by all.

Preceded in death by son: Leslie J. Ogle in 2000 and sister: Janice Reedy.

Survived by wife of 45 years: Mareen C. “Toni” (Zimmerman) Ogle; daughters: Amy Kathryn Ogle of Wethersfield, Connecticut and Bonnie K. Polzin of Cape Coral, FL

Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home 220 East Main Street Eaton, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Stan VanAusdal officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Gratis, Ohio.
