PHYLLIS ANN (LIPSCOMB) EVILSIZER, 72, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at her home in Franklin, Ohio. Born December 5, 1935 in Camden, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ralph & Amanda Frances (McLaughlin) Lipscomb. Phyllis was educated in the Camden Public Schools and was a graduate of the Class of 1953. In 1953 she entered nursing school at the Good Samaritan School of Nursing and received her degree in 1956. Phyllis was a very caring and dedicated nurse and worked for many years at the Middletown Regional Hospital until her retirement in 1998. Following her retirement she was very active in the H.A.R.E. Auxillary of Retirees of Middletown Hospital. As a young child her religious roots were strong and deep. She was a member of the First Brethren Church in Camden and later attended the Towne Boulevard Church of God in Franklin. Phyllis was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and collegues. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years: Charles D. Evilsizer; daughter & son-in-law, Cynthia A. & Tim Balzer of Franklin and son & daughter-in-law, Tim C. & Lori Evilsizer of Middletown, Ohio; sister & brother-in-law, Barbara K. & Linden Harter of West Manchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Bradley, Katie & Todd Fletcher of Franklin; step-grandchildren, Brad Cresong of Middletown & Tim and Krissy Balzer of Maineville, Ohio; uncle, Enoch McLaughlin of Moberly, Kentucky, nephew, Ned Harter and great nephews, Joel and Aaron Harter all of West Manchester; two beloved cats, Susie and Sassy.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main Street, Camden, Ohio with Pastor Ed Decker officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
