Phillip Charles Brown

PHILLIP CHARLES BROWN, 76, of New Paris, OH, died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Vancrest Healthcare Center in Eaton. Born on December 17, 1933 in New Paris, OH, he was the son of the late William Ray Brown and Bonita Estella Coddington. He was in construction for over 40 years having worked for Ralph B. Wiwi in Richmond, IN. A 1952 Jefferson Twp. High School graduate, Jefferson Twp. Booster's Club and was a coach for girls softball for many years. He attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Richmond, IN and served in the Ohio National Guard.

Preceded in death by his Wife: Patricia Ann (Schankel) Brown in 1977; Brothers: W. Gilvie Brown and Richard R. Brown both in 2007 and Willard Brown in 1974; Sister: Wilma Jean Brown in 1944.

Survived by Daughter: Linda Jo (Gary) Moore, New Paris, OH; Sons: Larry Brown, Loretto, TN, Chuck (Jenni) Brown, Richmond, IN; Grandchildren: Michael (Anna) Brown, Lindsey (Lace) Grazier, Lauryn & Lesley Cooper, Landrey & Bekham Brown. Brothers: Joseph E. Brown, Richmond, IN, F. Dean Brown, Washington, D.C.; Sisters: Donna Lou Griffith, Richmond, IN and Carolyn Schaar, New Madison, OH. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main St., New Paris, OH 45347 with Pastor Marty Holman officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December, 7, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
