Pauline L. Mccarty

Pauline L. McCarty, 95 of Eaton, OH died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Eaton. Born on December 1, 1919 in New Hope Station, Jackson Twp., Preble County, OH, she was the daughter of the late John Marvin & Reatha Fern (Ross) Armacost. Pauline was a Telephone Operator in Richmond, IN, retiring in 1984 after 27 years with General Telephone. She was a 1937 Jackson High School graduate where she was a cheerleader, played the violin and was a concert mistress. Member of the Campbellstown United Church of Christ and Club 18.

Preceded in death by her husband Kenneth J. McCarty in 1982; Sister: Maxine Scott in 1989; Son-in-law: Steve Dougan in 2010; Great Granddaughter: Chelsea Hanson in 2012 and special friend of 30 years: Eugene Ewing in 2014.

Survived by her Son: Mike S. (Connie) McCarty, Eaton, OH; Daughters: Kathleen S. (Howard) Oliver, Lebanon, OH and Cheryl M. Dougan, Centerville, OH; Brother: Robert B. (Carol) Armacost, Eaton, OH; 7 Grandchildren: Kelly McCarty, Eaton, OH, Timothy (Jenny) McCarty, Eaton, OH, Sean (Megan) Oliver, Hong Kong, Cheyenne (Sam) Oliver, Lebanon, OH, Samantha (Chris) Paxton, Centerville, OH, Marc (Kelly) Dougan, Longmont, CO and Eddie (Nancy) Horowitz, Alexandria, KY; 8 Great Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Campbellstown United Church of Christ, 2890 W. Florence Campbellstown Rd., Eaton, OH with Pastor Alecia Schroedel officiating. Friends may call on the family at the church one hour prior to service.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH.
