Paul M. Maxel

Paul M. Maxel, age 77 of Verona, OH died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at his residence. Born on March 3, 1932 in Montgomery County, Ohio he was the son of the late Clarence & Marie (Bickel) Maxel. Preceded in death by Sister: Margie Ann Herman in 1992.

Paul was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, Past Director of the Peoples Bank of Lewisburg, Oh; Co-Owner and operator of Zemaco, Inc. of Lewisburg, OH. and past Director of the B.R. Smith Medical Association in Lewisburg, OH. He bowled a 300 game at Sunset Lanes in 1968.

Survivors include wife of 49 years: Zelda M. (Davis) Maxel; Sons & Daughter-In-Law: Eric M. Maxel and Von M. & Lora M. Maxel both of Lewisburg, OH; Daughter & Son-In-Law: Laura M. & Brian L. Gunder of Lewisburg, OH; Brothers: James Maxel of Brookville, OH and Larry Maxel of Verona, OH. Grandchildren: Joe Harris, Cody Harris, Joy Maxel, Adam Maxel, Cole Gunder, Lane Gunder and Sage Gunder; Great Grandchildren: Joey Harris and Annabelle Harris.

Funeral service will be Saturday 2:00 PM February 13, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home – 411 North Commerce Street – Lewisburg, OH. with Jason Bunger officiating. Interment will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery – West Alexandria, OH. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
