Paul L. Powell

PAUL L. POWELL, age 79, of Eaton, OH, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, OH. Born on November 6, 1926 in Montgomery County OH, he was the son of the late Everett C and Ada (Bowman) Powell. Paul graduated from the Camden High School in 1945; he served in the U.S. Army for two years; former member of the Camden Lions Club; served on the Camden Council and on the Board of Public Affairs; member of the Odd Fellows at Camden. He retired in 1975 from the National Cash Register Company in Dayton, OH after 29 years of service. From 1975 thru 1988 he ran the Powell Remodeling and Repairs at Eaton, OH. Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years on June 14, 2004: Helen M. (Porter) Powell; brother: Dean Powell; son: Timothy Powell; great grandson: Waylon Runyon.

Survived by children: Paul L. & (Penny) Powell Jr. of Buckley, WA, Katherine A. & (James) Doty of Eaton, OH, Susan Lynn Powell of Oxford, OH, Kip & (Sue) Powell of Eaton, OH, Kimberly & (Steve) Shepler of Cincinnati, OH. Brother: William & (Dorothy) Powell of Camden, OH. Sisters: Marilyn Feix of Camden, OH, Marcia & (Glenn) Lochard of Harrison, OH. Ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and uncles.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 14, 2006 at Nein - Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main Street, Camden, OH, with the Rev. Greg F. Jackson officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, OH. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
