PAUL JOSEPH BAKER, SR. age 75, of West Manchester, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the Dayton Heart Hospital. Born on November 10, 1931 in New Madison, Ohio, he was the son of the late William & Thelma (Good) Baker. Paul was a driver for Royal Crest Distributors, J.B. Subler and L & L Howell after 21 years. He was a member of the Castine Church of the Brethren and enjoyed dart ball, wood working and riding his Harley Davidson. Preceded in death by Brother: Donald Baker.
Survived by Wife of 54 years: Virginia A. (Shell) Baker; Daughter & Son-in-law: Dianna & Jim McDonald, New Madison, OH; Sons & Daughter-in-law: Paul J. Baker, Jr., West Manchester, OH, John & Linda (Hicks)Baker, New Madison, OH, Dennis Baker, West Manchester, OH; Brothers: David Baker of California, Clarence Baker, Eldorado, OH, Franklin Baker, Greenville, OH, Kenneth Baker, New Madison, OH; Sisters: Esther Newman, New Madison, OH, Catherine Miltenberger, Greenville, OH, Phyllis Clapp, New Madison, OH; Grandchildren: Christina (Tommy) Hoskins, Bradley (Melinda) McDonald, John Everett “Brock” (Jeni) Baker & Alisha Baker; 7 Great Grandchildren. Special Friend: Richard Norris.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, June 8, 2007 at the Castine Church of the Brethren - 624 U.S. Rt. 127 - Castine, Ohio with Pastor Greg Hyre officiating. Interment will be held in Castine Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home - Eaton, Ohio.
