Paul D. Horrigan

PAUL D. HORRIGAN, age 93, formerly of New Paris, Ohio died Monday, April 18, 2005 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton, Ohio. Born on March 2, 1912 in Jefferson Township, Preble County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Daniel E. & Carrie (Hochwalt) Horrigan. Paul was a 1931 graduate of Jefferson High School. He retired in 1982 with over 40 years at Hayes Track in Richmond, Indiana. He was a member and caretaker of St. John’s Catholic Church in New Paris, Ohio. Preceded in death by Wife of 61 years: Helen C. (Mull) Horrigan in 2001; Sons: Thomas P. Horrigan in 1967 and Fredrick D. Horrigan in 1942; Sisters: Florence White, Mary Horrigan, and Ruth Lee.

Survived by Sons & Daughter-in-law: Donald C. & Patricia Horrigan of Bowie, Maryland, Patrick D. Horrigan of New Paris, Ohio; Daughter & Son-in-law: H. Joan & Richard Lamb of New Paris, Ohio; Brother: Daniel E. Horrigan of Eaton, Ohio; Sister: Julia Ferriell of Eaton, Ohio. Three Grandchildren: Scott D. (Tonya) Horrigan of Michigan, Megan P. Horrigan of Maryland, Caryn M. Horrigan of Maryland. Two Great Grandchildren: Skylar & Riley.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. (Ohio Time) on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at St. John’s Catholic Church - North Spring Street - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Eugene Vonderhaar officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. (Ohio Time) at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio.
