Oneda G. Daugherty

Oneda G. Daugherty, age 99, of New Paris, OH, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Richmond, IN. Born on August 3, 1915 in Jefferson Twp., Preble County, OH, she was the daughter of the late Alfred M. & Delota O. "Lottie" (Miller) Rutan. She was a 1933 graduate of Jefferson Twp., High School, enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing pinochle and spending winters in Florida. She was a member of the New Madison United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Guy F. Daugherty in 1993; brother, Wayne Rutan in 1991; granddaughter, Tammy Shock in 2012 and son-in-law, Robert E. "Gus" Shock in 1989.

She is survived by her son: Keith Daugherty, New Paris, OH; Daughters: Naomi Shock, New Paris, OH and Wilma (Keith) Stump, Roswell, GA; grandchildren: Teresa Shock, Scott Shock, Mitzi (Daugherty) Marshall, Terry Daugherty, Craig Stump, Kent Stump, Jalene (Stump) McCord; great grandchildren: McKenzie Shock, Russell & Rebecca McCord, Zachary Stump, Derick & Drew Hayes and Joe Daugherty; nephew: Roger Rutan.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Pastor Carol Duffield officiating. Interment will be held in Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, OH. Family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the funeral service.
