Nora S. Hardin

NORA S. HARDIN, age 97, of Eaton, OH died Sunday May 3, 2009 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton, OH. Born on March 15, 1912 in Loretto, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Coy and Alma (Simpson) Smith. Preceded in death by her husband, William Morgan Hardin in 1982, daughter, Sarah Campbell in 2007, son, James M. Hardin in 2006, sisters, Lula Boomershine and Etta Brooks, brother, James Smith and two grandsons, Stephen Hardin and Joel Rauschenbach. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton, had been a cook at the Jackson Township school and later at National Trail school, worked at the Northedge Pharmacy and in later years for Electro-Cap International.

Survivors include sons, W. Nelson (Janet) Hardin of Eaton, OH, David (Mary) Hardin of Grayson, GA, Meryl (Joyce) Hardin of Eaton, OH, Ronald Hardin of Cincinnati, OH and Richard (Carol) Hardin of Eaton, OH. Daughter, Sharon (Robert) Buckley of Richmond, IN. Sisters, Nellie (William) Fudge, Mabel Pence and Ruth (James) Williams all of Eaton, OH. Brothers, Jack (Dollene) Smith, Jesse Smith and Earl Smith all of Eaton, OH and Reuben Smith of Clayton, OH. 23 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be on Thursday May 7, 2009 - 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 111 Lutheran Drive, Eaton, OH with Pastor Warren Reichert officiating. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens at West Alexandria, OH. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
