Nellie Minnie Christman

Nellie Minnie (Kanzig) Christman, 87, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on June 11, 1930 in Athabasca, Alberta, Canada, daughter of the late Orville William & Minnie Madeline (McKenzie) Kanzig. Nellie married Ralph Edwin Christman on June 5, 1960. Member of the Preble County Amateur Radio Club - KD8LYC. She will be remembered for her deep love of God, Family and the Best Homemade Bread in the World. She loved making afghans and quilts and often donated them to charities.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Ralph Edwin Christman; sisters, Ethel L. Wells and Helen Kanzig; brother, Roy O. Kanzig; son, Darrell W. Tilton; step son, James Edward Christman; daughter, Peggy Ann Tilton; granddauther, Kristy Kathleen Stjern.

Survived by her children, Kathleen M. Tilton, Ruth E. (Allan) Bogert, Thomas E. (Donna) Christman and Paul W. Christman; step daughter, Lynn Oliver; brother, Richard Kanzig; sister, Muriel Pajokric; 2 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside & Inurnment Service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, OH with Rev. Jerry Carter officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E.
