Nancy Pearl Chaney, 81, of Eaton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Woodland County Manor after a long illness. Born on June 29, 1936 in Winchester, KY, she was the daughter of the late Willard C. & Bertha E. (Sasser) Chesnut. A 1955 graduate of Dixon-Israel High School, she worked on the family farm until she married, employed by Dayton Flexible Products in the 1960’s then went to work in the cafeteria at Preble Shawnee School, retiring in 2002 with more than 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and the many friends from the church and school. Charter Member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Camden. As a Pastor’s wife, she served in many roles over the years with the Hueston Southern Baptist Church, Morning Sun for 22 years, Secretary, Clerk, Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher and Kitchen Lead.
Survived by her Husband of 63 years, William Darold Chaney; Children, Daniel L. Chaney, Deborah A. (Doug) Cutrer, David M. (Amy) Chaney, and Nathanael R. (Danielle) Chaney; Grandchildren: Chris Cutrer, Adam Chaney, Benjamin Chaney, Ellen Chaney, Alyssa Chaney and Makayla Chaney; Great Grandchild: Landry Chaney; Sisters: Beulah A. (Robert) Whitesell, Mary H. (John) Allison; Brother: Gary L. (Kathy) Chesnut.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at First Southern Baptist Church, 35 N. Liberty St., Camden, OH with Rev. Dr. Greg Jackson officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the church.
A special thank you to the staff of Woodland Country Manor and the pastor and members of the First Southern Baptist Church of Camden for the love and support to Nancy throughout her illness.
