Nancy L. Hemmelgarn

Nancy L. Hemmelgarn 62 of New Paris, Ohio, died Monday, June 26, 2023, at her residence. She was born on July 26, 1960, the daughter of the late Lloyd U. & Nancy (Mueller) Hemmelgarn in Cincinnati, Ohio. She had worked at Petro Iron Skillet for over 23 years and was a lover of planting rose bushes, collecting Angels and odds and ins, member of St. John’s Catholic Church in New Paris. She loved her grandchildren, enjoyed attending the Preble County Pork Festival and watching the Young and Restless on TV.

Preceded in death by sister: Tina Hemmelgarn in 2022, Brothers-in-law: Wes Marshall in 2021 & Ernie Henemyre in 2010, and her Fur Baby Max in 2020.

Survived by husband: Frank Henemyre; Children: Laura & Thomas Adkins, Frank Henemyre, Jr. & special friend Alex, Brianna & Zac Singh, William & Jessica Updegraff, 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces & Nephews, Sisters: Mary Wickett, Carol Marshall; Harley her fur baby.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday June 30, 2023, at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street – New Paris, Ohio. The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 1, 2023, at St. John Catholic Church 400 North Spring Street - New Paris, Ohio. Interment will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio.
