Mona J. (Pennington) Watts

MONA J. (PENNINGTON) WATTS, age 86, of New Paris, Ohio died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton, Ohio. Born on April 15, 1921 in Dew Drop, Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Rose (Goodman) Pennington. Mona has lived in the New Paris area for over 60 years. She worked at Crosley Manufacturing in Richmond, Indiana. She retired in 1981 from Perfect Circle Dana Corporation in Richmond, Indiana after 30 years as an assembler. Member of the U.A.W. of Richmond, Indiana and was on the contract negotiation team for several years. Member of St. John’s Catholic Church in New Paris, Ohio. Member of St. Ann’s Sodality of New Paris, Ohio. Member of American Legion Auxiliary in New Paris, Ohio.

Preceded in death by husband of 58 years: Richard L. Watts in 2001; brothers: Ellis Pennington, Jesse Pennington, Hubert Pennington, Troy Pennington, Elijah Pennington.

Survived by daughter & son-in-law: Linda C. & Lee Brack of Sacramento, California; brother: Hysell Pennington of Somerset, Kentucky; grandchildren: Charles R. Brack and Jonathan L. Brack both of Oakland, California; numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at St. John’s Catholic Church - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio.
