MIRIAM (MARKEY) LINKLATER, age 81, of Kettering, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on October 25, 1923 in Gasper Twp., Preble County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Judge Joseph B. & Llewella H. (Homan) Markey. She was a 1941 Eaton High School graduate and attended Ohio Wesleyan College in Delaware where she was a member of Chi Omega and honorary member of Phi Beta Kappa. Member of Christ United Methodist Church in Kettering and had served as a volunteer at Kettering Hospital for many years. She is preceded in death by Brothers: Joseph & Donald Markey.
Survived by her husband of 60 years: William M. Linklater; Daughter: Nancy L. Linklater of Kettering; Sons and Daughters-in-law: William M. & Marcia Linklater II of Kettering & Jack M. and Brenda Linklater of Hawaii. Grandchildren: Amy Linklater, William M. Linklater III, Kyle Linklater.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 - 1:00 P.M. (Ohio Time) at Christ United Methodist Church - 3440 Shroyer Road - Kettering, Ohio 45429 with Pastor Victoria C. Downing officiating. Graveside Committal Service and Interment will be held at 3:00 P.M. (Ohio Time) in Mound Hill Union Cemetery - Eaton, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 from 12 to 1:00 P.M. (Ohio Time) at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home -220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio 45320.
