Miriam D. Loy

MIRIAM D. LOY, 93, of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Tuesday, October30, 2012 in Lewisburg. Miriam was born on August 31, 1919 in Covington, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles & Zoe (Wenrick) Detling. She was a graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, Ohio and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She taught English, typing, shorthand and Latin for 17 years at Miamisburg High School in Miamisburg, Ohio and Lewisburg Union High School in Lewisburg. She was the co- owner and operator of the Dari Twist in Lewisburg. She was a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Emerson Loy in 2004.

Miriam is survived by her son, Eric Loy of Lewisburg; daughter, Debra Loy of Brookville, Ohio and sister, Myra Gebhart of Lewisburg.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
