Mildred "Millie" Simpson

Mildred "Millie" Simpson, age 78 of Lewisburg, OH, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2014. Born on May 31, 1936 in Montgomery Co., OH, daughter of the late Billy & Quito (Welbaum) West. She retired in 1997 after 23 years as a Sales Clerk at Lazarus Department Store. She had also worked at Kid Connection in Lewisburg for 5 years. Member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Member of the First United Church of Christ in Lewisburg, OH.

Preceded in death by great granddaughter, Skye Getter in 2010.

Survived by husband of 57 years, Harry L. Simpson of Lewisburg, OH; children, Kathleen (Joe) Petkewitz of Lewisburg, OH, David (Leisyl) Simpson of Brookville, OH and Jeff (Tanya) Simpson of Lewisburg, OH; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; several cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Rev. David Justis officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Brookville, OH. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the funeral home in Lewisburg.
