Mildred Katherine Steinberger

MILDRED KATHERINE STEINBERGER, age 97, formerly of New Paris, Ohio died Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at Heartland of Eaton in Eaton, Ohio. Born on September 13, 1905 in Uniopolis, Auglaize County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank Newell & Nellie Gertrude (Barger) Ginn. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of New Paris since 1938. Before she and her late husband moved to Heartland of Eaton, they were the oldest couple in New Paris, having been married for 73 years. She was a former member of the Tuesday Club and the Sylvan Garden Club and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of New Paris where she had been a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Westminster Guild. She was an avid flower gardener and took many prizes for her roses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clydus “C.O.” Steinberger in August 2000; Two Brothers: Hugh F. Ginn in 1981 and Kenneth Eldridge Ginn in 1977.

Survived by Son & Daughter-in-law: Richard A. & Joan E. Steinberger, New Paris, Ohio; Two Grandchildren: April Abrams, Wilmington, Ohio and Eric Steinberger, New Paris, Ohio; Two Great Grandchildren: Dustin and Andrea Steinberger, both of New Paris, Ohio. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2003 - 1:00 P.M. at the Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main St. - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Jerry Westfall officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2003 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
