Michelle "Chelle" L. Arthur

Michelle L. “Chelle” Arthur, age 54, of New Paris, Ohio, died unexpectedly at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Born on January 19, 1970 in Wayne County, Michigan, daughter of Gary Michael & Sherry Caral (Drouillard) Shelton.

Chelle grew up in Garden City, Michigan and later moved to Farmington, Michigan and then relocated to Port Hope, Michigan. She moved to Preble County, Ohio in 2006 and later moved to New Paris, Ohio. Chelle worked at the Richmond Furniture Gallery in Richmond, Indiana. She was also a self-employed Licensed Massage Therapist for many years. Chelle was also an Ordained Minister since 2000. She also was a Paranormal Investigator.

Chelle had served her community as a current member of the New Paris Village Council and was known for her love and support by many residents of New Paris, Ohio.  She also served as President of the New Paris Park Committee.

Chelle married the love of her life, John Arthur on June 5, 2021. Your love and support during this difficult time is greatly appreciated.  We're cut from a thick cloth, we hurt hard but we love harder! 

Chelle would say, “We bend, we don’t break.”

Preceded by her father, Gary Michael Shelton in 2023.

Survived by her beloved husband, John Arthur; mother, Sherry George; her 10 wonderful children, Jennifer Estes, Alisha Sturgill, Shawn Baldwin, Shaun Arthur, Chrissy Arthur, Scott Baldwin, Chris Baldwin, Brandy Baldwin, Cory Rutherford, and Jackie Arthur; 27 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Nikki Kiselica-Green and Lisa (Tom) Hamlett; brother, Robert “PJ” Kiselica; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday prior to the service from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home in New Paris, Ohio.
