Michael J. Mattis

Michael J. “Mike” Mattis, age 70, of Bellbrook, Ohio died Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at his residence. Born on January 20, 1954 in Richmond, Indiana. He was the son of the late James E. and Marjorie J. (Earhart) Mattis.

Mike had worked for Columbia Hyundai in Cincinnati, Ohio for 30 years. He was a 1972 Twin Valley North graduate and attended Morehead State University. He was lover of music and the Cincinnati Bengals, but above all, he loved his children and grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Sister, Julianne Mattis.

Survived by his Daughters and Sons-in-law: Allison M. (Adam) Bennett, and Rachel A. (Bud) Heffner; Siblings: Kathy Mattis (Danny) Stevens, Tom (Mary Ann) Mattis, and Tim (Tammie) Mattis; Grandchildren: Claire Marie Bennett, Ava Grace Bennett, William Edward Heffner V, and Owen Michael Heffner. Many Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at the Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Inurnment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
