Michael A. Daugherty

Michael A. Daugherty age 53 of New Paris, Ohio died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on August 14, 1956 he was the son of the late William T. & Betty Lou (Carroll) Daugherty. Mike was a 1974 graduate of National Trail High School and had been employed at Belden Corporation in Richmond for over 35 years. Member of the Sons of the Legion - American Legion Post at New Paris, OH. He was a avid fisherman and hunter. In the 1980's he received second place in the Pennsylvania Archers competition.

Survived by Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Michelle & Jeremy Collins of Eaton, OH; Amy & John Davis of New Paris, OH and Sarah & Shannon Rader of Greenville, OH. Sisters & Brother-In-Law: Cynthia A. Daugherty and Susan & Chris Begley both of Eaton, OH.; Brothers: Timothy D. Daugherty and Billy T. Daugherty both of New Paris, OH; 8 Grandchildren: James Collins, Mollie Collins, Monica Collins, Madilyn Collins, Jasymn Collins, Gracie Davis, Sierra Rader and Lillian Rader; Many Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Todd Riebe officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH.
