Melvin C. Wohlfrom

Melvin C. Wohlfrom, 82, of Camden, OH died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at his residence. Melvin was born on January 27, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH the son of the late Joseph F. & Viola (Miller) Wohlfrom. He retired in 1990 after 38 years as the Yard Manager for Fenton Rigging Company in Norwood, OH, attended Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton, OH and was a member of the Local 18 Operating Engineers of Cincinnati. He had lived in Englewood, Florida prior to moving to Preble County, OH. Preceded in death by brother: Harold Wohlfrom in 1945 and sister: Marilyn Besl in 1957.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Joan M. (Schomaker) Wohlfrom; children: Martha R. & David Mersch of Maineville, OH; Mildred V. & Dennis Stall of Richmond, OH; Melvin R. & Tammy Wohlfrom of Dillsboro, IN; Mark R. & Sharon Wohlfrom of Mooreshill, IN and Margie R. & Steve Rumpke of Camden, OH; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the St. John the Baptist Church 5361 Dry Ridge Road Cincinnati, OH 45252 with Rev. Tim Kallaher officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 12:00 prior to the mass at the church. Interment will be held in St. John Cemetery next to the church.
