Melissa Sue Thompson

Melissa Sue (Ritter) Thompson, age 40, of Lewisburg, OH, died Friday, April 13, 2012 in Lewisburg. Melissa was a 1990 Northmont High School graduate and coached soccer and softball in Lewisburg for many years.

Preceded in death by her Father: Michael Lewis Ritter; brother: Cory Michael Ritter; Grandfathers: Ted Ritter and Emery Arthur Redman; Aunt: Christina Redman.

Survived by her Mother & Step-Father: Roberta J. "Bobbie" & Stan Hanzel, Arcanum, OH; Son: Blake M. Thompson, Lewisburg, OH; Daughter: Paige A. Thompson, West Manchester, OH; Grandmothers: Betty J. Ritter, Fort Myers, FL and Opal M. Redman, Lewisburg, OH; Aunts: Vickie Redman, Lewisburg, OH and Jaquie Bridgeford of Georgia; Uncles: Gary Redman, West Carrollton, OH, Scott Redman, Clearwater, FL and Steve Bierly, Lewisburg, OH; Best friends: Michelle Smith, Camden, OH, Levi Burgan, Lewisburg, OH and Danielle Redman of South Carolina. Melissa had a host of family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Lewisburg Word of Faith Church, 400 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Pastors Justin Wiegand and Bill Mitchell officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday at the church from 4 – 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewisburg Word of Faith Church, 400 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH 45338.
