MAY “JILL” FREEDMAN, 90 of Lewisburg, Ohio died Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Brookhaven Nursing and Care Center in Brookville, Ohio. Born February 11, 1915 in Wellingborough, England daughter of Walter and Gertrude (Braybrook) Noble. A 1933 graduate of Wellingborough High School she was a past member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority and the board of Brown Memorial Library both of Lewisburg. She was a member of the Preble County and Lewisburg Historical Societies and was a past den mother for the cub scouts. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years: Joseph T. Freedman in 1999; grandson: Matthew in 1980; sister: Vera Sutherland in 1968 and brother: Rex Noble in 1973.
Survived by daughther: Susan Golshani of Salesville, Ohio; sons: B. Vaughn Freedman of Lewisburg and Richard(Teri) Freedman of Gilroy, California; grandchildren: Chris(Becky)Tilton, Heather(Tim)Grace, Misty(Shawn) Grant, Marnie (Bob)Paterson, Dana(Greg)Straub and Greg, Lindsey and Robbie Freedman; Seventeen Great Grandchildren and Special Friend: Kathy Clark of Brookville, Ohio.
A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2005 - at the Lewisburg First United Church of Christ- 400 North Main Street - Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton - 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45420 or to the Lewisburg Emergency Unit- P.O. Box 697-Lewisburg, Ohio 45338.
