Maxine Flowers, 93, formerly of Preble County, Ohio, went to be with Her Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the Villages, Florida. Born on July 20, 1918 in Camden, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Louis A. & Edna (Linting) Sterzenbach. She was the devoted wife of Pastor Charles A. Flowers who died in 1999. Maxine was an accomplished pianist and dedicated her lifetime alongside her husband serving the Lord with her music. She will be missed by many.
Survivors: sons & daughter-in-law: James & Cindy Stewart and Charles A. Flowers both of the Villages, FL; 10 grandchildren, great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and friends and those lives she touched through her music.
Memorial service will be held 12:00 PM, Saturday February 4, 2012 at Grace Brethren Community Church – 3110 US. Rt. 35 East – West Alexandria,(Glenwood) Ohio with Pastor Harold Combs and Elbert Sorrell officiating. A luncheon will be held following the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be 3:00 PM, Saturday February 4, 2012 at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Grace Brethren Community Church – P.O. Box 95 – West Alexandria, OH 45381 where Pastor Charles & Maxine Flowers had served. I John 5:13-15.
