Max Harold Hoffman

MAX HAROLD HOFFMAN age 77 of New Paris, Ohio died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on June 4, 1926 in New Haven, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Roy Philip & Mary Gladys (Bumgardner) Hoffman. He was the owner/operator of Hoffman Produce since 1949, retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in New Paris. Preceded in death by a Nephew: John Wood in 1987.

Survived by Wife of 52 ½ years: Martha J. (O’Neil) Hoffman; Sons & Daughter-in-law: Mark H. Hoffman, St. Cloud, Florida, Neil & Sherri Hoffman, New Paris, Ohio; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Kathleen M. & James Stayton, Eldorado, Ohio, Andrea L. & Kevin Smallwood, New Paris, Ohio; Special Niece: Jean Strickland, Richmond, Indiana; 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and several cousins.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2003 - 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church - North Spring St. - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. There will be no public calling. Memorials may be made to Northwest Emergency Squad - 135 N.
