Matthew "Matt" Lindsey, 25, of Eldorado, died Thursday morning, May 23, 2013, in a car accident on Monroe Central Rd. at the I-70 overpass. He was born October 5, 1987, in Dayton, OH to Connie and Robert Lee Lindsey.
Matt attended Arcanum schools. His former employers included Gurneys, in Lewisburg; Payless, in Brookville; and Fram in Greenville. He was a member of the "Border 2" club.
Matt was extremely friendly, had a great sense of humor, loved animals, and most of all, loved helping others. He enjoyed fishing and liked organic gardening. Matt also liked 4-wheeling, and hoped to own a motorcycle some day.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Annabelle Baker & Phyllis Bowers and grandfathers, Claude Lindsey & Levi Baker.
Survivors include his mother, Connie (Bowers) Lindsey of Eldorado; father, Robert L. Lindsey of Missouri; brother, Mark David Lindsey of Greenville, OH; grandfather, Dale Bowers of Eldorado; uncles: William Lindsey of Camden, OH, Lynn (Rosemary) Ware of Georgia, Mike Bowers of New Madison, OH; and his fiance, Harley Kautz of Greenville, OH.
The Funeral Service for Matthew J. Lindsey will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 1:00PM at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH. Pastor Terry Campbell has been asked to officiate. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Eldorado, OH. Friends may call from 5 – 7PM Monday, May 27 at the funeral home.
