Mary L. Sollenberger

Mary L. Sollenberger, age 75 of Verona, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 5, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Lester Merle & Mazzie Mae (Baker) Black.

She graduated in 1968 from Eaton High School. She loved her dogs, Bevo, Grendel, Fluffball, and Hannah. She also loved her crafts. She loved church and singing.

Preceded by siblings, Everett Merle Black, Johnny Jacob Black, Martha Black, Margaret Tice, Robert Black, and Lily Hunt.

Survived by her husband of 56 years, Alfred D. Sollenberger; children, Annessa (Orlando Rivera) Berhow, Alfred D. Sollenberger II, and Annette D. (Clayton) Vires all of Verona, Ohio; sister, Mabel Ellen (Billy) Wilson of Indiana; grandchildren, Sara Marie (Ian) Vires-Boyd, David Joseph (Paige) Berhow and Candy Lynn Sollenberger; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Ithaca Cemetery in Ithaca, Ohio.
