Mary O. Basford

MARY O. BASFORD, age 85, of New Paris, Ohio, died Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Mary was born March 1, 1921 in Blue Creek, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Ethel (Hayslip) Jones. She retired in 1977 from MCL Cafeteria in Richmond and was a member of the New Paris Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband: Chester A. Basford in 1996 and brother: Robert “Bob” Jones in 2000.

She is survived by her Sons: Larry A. Basford of Port Orange, Florida and David L. Basford of New Paris; brother: Harley Jones of West Union, Ohio; sisters: Jean Young and Bessie Evans both of West Union, Ohio; Grandchildren: Debra Lynn Basford, Rodney Ray Basford, Rhonda K. Basford and Andrea Wiley; Great Grandchildren: Jeremy R. Basford, Janice Basford and Shane Wiley.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2006 at the Barnes Funeral Home- 109 West Main Street- New Paris, Ohio 45347 with Rev. Terry Cochran officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Monday, November 13, 2006 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
