Mary L. Thomas

Mary L. Thomas, age 91 of Camden, Ohio died Friday, November 27, 2009 at her residence. Born on October 25, 1918 in Preble County, Ohio the daughter of the late Harry W. & Nellie H. (Fisher) Lybrook. Mary was a 1936 Dixon-Israel High School graduate and a 1940 graduate Magna Cum Laude of Muskingum College. At the age of 8 she felt the call to missions in Egypt. After graduation from college she went to Frenchburg, Ky serving as a Missionary for the United Presbyterian Church. She then went on to Egypt in 1945 after the war until 1948. She also did mission work in Ganado, Az. She taught high school English and Latin at Dixon, Lanier, New Paris, National Trail and Eaton schools retiring in 1985. Member of Fairhaven Community Church and active in the W.C.T.U. Preceded in death by her husband of 45 years: Claude Thomas in 1996; Sister: Ethel May Frazier in 2003.

Survivors: Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Evelyn & Francis Panzer of Camden, OH and Verna & Mike Faulkner of Wilmington, OH; Son: Dale Thomas of Camden, OH; Sister: Jean Charles of Camden, OH and Brother: Roy W. (Carolyn) Lybrook of Mesa, AZ; 7 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Fairhaven Community Church - Fairhaven, Ohio with Dr. Rich Studebaker officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 10:00 to 12:00 P.M at the church. Interment will be held in Fairhaven Cemetery in Fairhaven, OH.
