Mary L. Houser

Mary L. (Rutherford) Houser, 92, of Eaton, Ohio died Thursday, December 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 15, 1925 in Bristol, Scott County, Virginia, daughter of the late J. Homer & Harriett Ethel (Hunsucker) Rutherford. Mary is a 1943 graduate of Eaton High School in Eaton, Ohio. She had worked for 31 years, retired in 1987 from Westvaco in Eaton, Ohio.

Preceded by her husband of 28 years, Carl J. Houser in 1973; brother, Charles “Bud” Rutherford.

Survived by her two children, Donald “Don” (Dianna) Houser and Audrey Houser all of Eaton, Ohio; sister-in-law, Delores Rutherford of Lexington, Kentucky; Brother, William “Bill” (Wanda) Rutherford of Eaton, Ohio; Sisters, Annabelle “Annie” (Joe) DeVilbiss of West Alexandria, Ohio and Nancy (Jim) Ferriell of Eaton, Ohio; Grandchildren, Lisa (Rob) Welcome, Kristin (Kevin) Schamel, Donna Cross, Rob (Jen) Cross and Shelly (Mark) Stephenson; great grandchildren, Jake, Charlie, Annie, Jaxon, Bryce, Zarek, Brantley and Greyson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, OH with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, OH. Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the funeral.
