Mary Jane Morse

Mary Jane Morse, 101, of Eaton, OH, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Vancrest Nursing Center in Eaton. She was born on February 7, 1917 in Preble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert H. “R.H.” and Catherine Irene (Meeks) Renner. She was a 1935 graduate of Jackson High School, Jackson Twp., Preble County, OH and was a clerk for the Eaton Sundry Store, Wright’s I.G.A. and the A & P all of Eaton. Mary Jane was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star- Gleaner Chapter 182 of West Alexandria, OH.  

In addition to her parents, Mary Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Morse in 1975; son, John Thomas Morse in 2002; sisters, JoAnn Renner in 1930 and Mildred L. Bell in 2017; brothers, Robert H. and William I. Renner and daughter-in-law, Becky Morse in 2008. 

Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith D. and Harold Groves; son, James A. Morse; grandchildren, Deniece Harris, Don Groves, Kristen Schipelli, Michelle Kaufman, T.K. Morse, Michael Morse; step grandchildren, Tracy, Andy and Jamie Payne; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. James Sizelove officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Monday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
