Mary I. Poffenberger

Mary I. Poffenberger, age 101, formerly of Eldorado, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at Golden Rule Nursing Center in Richmond, Indiana. Born on May 18, 1904 in Eldorado, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Harley & Ida Mae (Juday) Emrick. She graduated in 1921 from Jefferson Township High School in New Paris, Ohio; member of the Prices Creek Church of the Brethren and member of the Gettysburg Community Club. Preceded in death by her husband: Henry S. Poffenberger in 1989; infant son in 1928; brothers: Cyrus G. Emrick, Donald Emrick, Mahlon Clifford Emrick, & Willis Waldo Emrick; sisters: Lucille Moore & Aldean L. Spahr.

Survived by her daughter & son-in-law: Geneva M. & Roy McRoberts of West Manchester, Ohio; grandchildren: Michael (Kay) Lee of Kent, Ohio, Lloyd (Loretta) Lee, & David (Tonya) Lee both of Eldorado, Ohio; step grandchildren; Rose Ann (Al) Pedroza & Terry McRoberts; great grandchildren: Jeremy, Andy (Mandi), Matthew (Kristin), Amanda, Brandon, Travis, Dustin, Jason (Abby), Nicole, & Marisa; step great grandchildren: Michelle (Keith) Orsa, Monica (Doug) Gunter, Marcus (Katlin) Pedroza; great great grandchildren: Kaytlin, Hannah, Paige, & Austin Lee. Several Nieces & Nephews.

Funeral Services will held on Monday, January 9, 2006 - 11:00 am at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Don King officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2006 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
