Mary Elizabeth Douglass

Mary Elizabeth (Trittschuh) Douglass of Lewisburg, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 2, 2005 at Heartland of Centerville, Ohio. Born on April 23, 1916 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Dr. Everett Paul & Faye E. (McCabe) Trittschuh, Sr. She was a 1934 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School and a 1937 graduate of Good Samaritan Nursing School. Member of Preble County Historical Society and Memorial United Methodist Church of Lewisburg, Ohio. Preceded in death by Son: Daniel D. Douglass in 1972, Brother: Everett P. Trittschuh, Jr. in 1990.

Survived by Husband: Doyle D. Douglass of Brookville, Ohio; Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Sandra V. & Phil Hopf of Bellbrook, Ohio and Marsha A. & Lee MtCastle of West Manchester, Ohio; Sister: Sylvia J. Hoff of Lewisburg, Ohio; 11 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and their children.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 6, 2005 - 12:00 pm at the Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, OH. with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio.

The family would like to thank Heartland of Centerville, where she resided since 2000, for their loving care and attention. A special thanks to Phyliss Mullencamp, her “Guardian Angel” for her thoughtfulness and her support during her illness. The support provided by Hospice of Heartland during her illness and prior to her passing is greatly appreciated by her daughters. Thank-you especially to Kimberly Tracey and Ginny.
