Mary Elizabeth Bennett

MARY ELIZABETH (BLASDEL) BENNETT, age 80, of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Dayton, Ohio. Born on December 10, 1925 in Bright, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Walter & Lillian (Jackson) Blasdel. She graduated from Bright High School in Bright, Indiana. Mary was a member of the Lewisburg Garden Club and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewisburg, Ohio. Mary was also a volunteer for the LOGOS Program at Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired as a waitress from Red Lobster in Dayton, Ohio. Preceded in death by her brother: Ervin Blasdel; sister: Anna Benjamin.

Survived by her husband of 60 years: Richard Bennett of Brookville, Ohio; son & daughter-in-law: Denny & Carol Bennett of Bellbrook, Ohio; daughter & son-in-law: Donna & Bill Beekman of Beavercreek, Ohio; brother: John Blasdel of Bright, Indiana; sisters: Wilma Elmer of Sun City Center, Florida, Alice Rustemeyer of Illinois, and Lois Gellert of Indiana; grandchildren: Matt (Liz) Espy of Chicago, Illinois, Ivan Bennett of Cincinnati, Ohio, Marie (Jason) Chambers of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Amy Bennett (Brett) Wenzler of Waynesville, Ohio; great grandchild: Jack Chambers of Perrysburg, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2006 - 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church - 511 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. Brent Cavendish. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
