Mary Davis

MARY (SWERER) DAVIS, age 92, of Lewisburg, Ohio and formerly of Hagerstown, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008. Born on June 2, 1915 in Preble County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Peter A. & Minnie (Cheek) Swerer. Mary worked for several years at Miller's Cafeteria in Richmond, Indiana.

Preceded in death by her 1st husband: Roy Hutzelman in 1969; 2nd husband, Gordon Davis in 1987; step son, Jerry Davis; brother, Willard "Bill" Swerer in 1963 and Robert "Bob" Swerer in 1974; sisters, Gertrude Shock in 1999 and Rebecca Bowman in 1997.

Survived by son & daughter-in-law, Jerry & Vicki Hutzelman of Lewisburg, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Paulette Davis of Hagerstown, Indiana; grandchildren, Ron, Rhonda (Ray), Angela, Jerry, Jr., Elicia and Eric (Beth); great grandchildren, Aaron, Elizabeth, Emily, Brice, Bailey, Zachery, Allison, and Alexis; nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 26, 2008 - Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Charles Rinehart. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the funeral home.
