Mary C. Smith

MARY C. SMITH, 99 of Brookville, Ohio, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Villas of Brookhaven in Brookville. Born on July 25, 1910 in Liberty, Montgomery County, Ohio she was the daughter of the late George W. and Susan (Wolf) Baker. She worked at Inland and Delco in Dayton, Ohio and worked for the Jefferson Schools as a cook retiring around 1965. She attended the United Church of Christ in Ellerton, Ohio and St. John's United Church of Christ in Germantown, Ohio. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Homer E. Smith in 1976; sisters, Violet Maxwell, Hazel Wrights and infant Ethel Baker; brothers, Charles L. Baker, Robert Baker, infant Joseph Baker and an infant.

Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald E. & Ida Smith of Jackson, Michigan; daughter-in-law and husband, Jane & Ken Wiseman of Centerville, Ohio; granddaughter and husband, Megan & Joe Lammers; great grandchildren, Benjamin & Isabel Lammers; step grandson and wife, Jayson and Sabrina Egeler and step great granddaughter Ava and step granddaughter and husband Chrissy and Tyler Avery and step great grandsons Thomas and Charlie; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 2, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Homes, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Larry Grunden, Sr. officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
