Mary Alice Steele

Mary Alice Steele, age 86, of Eaton, OH, died Tuesday morning, November 28, 2006 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born on April 16, 1920 in Preble County, OH she was the daughter of the late Alonzo & Cecil (Spencer) Warner. Mary had worked at Shaver’s Ice Cream in Eaton and had worked with handicapped children for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Eaton serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Financial Secretary and Chairlady of the Kitchen Committee.
Preceded in death by Husband: Frederick W. Steele in 1986, son: David Steele and daughter: Marjorie Steele. Brothers: Bud Warner, Ralph Warner, Fred Warner, John Warner and Jim Warner. Sisters: Freda Whalen and Anna Bertha Kelhoffer.

Survived by Sons & Daughter-in-law: William “Bill” Steele of Eaton, OH and Bob & Joyce Steele of Spartanburg, SC; Sister: Doris Wagner of Eaton, OH; 5 Grandchildren: Mike & Amber Steele, Peggy & Bob Schuning, Holey Steele, Robin & Phillip Smallwood and Jamie & Kristy Steele. 10 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, December 1, 2006 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Jeff Hill and Rev. Russ Howard officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, OH. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the funeral home.
