Mary A. Spencer

Mary A. Spencer age 74, of Eaton, Ohio died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born on July 16, 1932 in Lewisburg, OH she was the daughter of the late Roy A. & Anna Belle (Shisler) Carico. Mary was a Secretary for the Dietary Services at the Dayton Veteran’s Hospital for over 30 years. She was a charter member of the Eaton Baptist Temple and taught Sunday School and was the past President of the Missionary Band. Preceded in death by husband Alvin Spencer in 1985; Brothers: Jack Carico and Leroy Carico.

Survived by son & daughter-in-law: Timothy & Shirley Spencer of Eaton, OH; daughters & sons-in-law: Christina & Mike Spitler of Eaton, OH and Teresa Spencer & Keith Boyer of Ocala, FL; sisters: Betty Hale and Barbara Covey both of Richmond, IN; grandchildren: Michael Spencer, Elizabeth Carver, Timmy Spencer, Joey Spencer, Christopher Spencer, Justin Spitler, Jerod Spitler and Jessica Spitler; great grandchild: Jacob Spencer; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at Eaton Baptist Temple - 416 East Decatur St. - Eaton, OH with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, OH. Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 12, 2007 from 5 to 8 PM at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio and one hour prior to the service at the church.
