MARTHA O. SCHOENLAUB, age 88, of Columbus, Ohio died Thursday, November 27, 2003 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. Born on February 19, 1915 in New Hope, Preble County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Charles B. & Edith (Bradway) O’Hara. She retired from Ohio State University as Assistant to the Director of the School of Nursing. She had served as Assistant Professor at Western Reserve University and had taught at the Newark Hospital of Nursing. She was a 1932 Jackson High School graduate, 1937 graduate of Ohio State University with a B.S. degree in Education for Health Education and Nursing, 1956 graduate of Western Reserve with a Masters degree in Science for Administration Nursing Education and Counseling, member of the Presbyterian Church in Worthington and Faculty Club at Ohio State. Preceded in death by Husband: Robert Arnold Schoenlaub June 24, 1992; Brother: James O’Hara.
Survived by Nieces: Tippie O’Hara Kelsey, Sebring, Florida and Janis O’Hara Kelley, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Cousins: Clayton O’Hara, Sebring, Florida, Lloyd O’Hara, Kettering, Ohio, Elizabeth O’Hara Schroder of Wisconsin and Wallace Bradway of Connecticut.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2003 - 1:00 P.M. at the New Hope United Methodist Church - Corner of Upshur Northern Rd. and U.S. Rt. 35 West - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Jay Madigan officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home - Eaton, Ohio.
