Martha J. Hoffman

MARTHA J. HOFFMAN, age 80, of New Paris, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in Richmond, IN. Born on October 3, 1927 in Richmond, IN, she was the daughter of the late James B. & Marie (Wilson) O'Neil. She was the owner/operator of Hoffman Produce and Vending Machines from 1949 - 1997. She attended St. Mary's Grade School in Richmond from 1st to 8th grade and graduated from Richmond High School in 1947. Member of St. Ann's Sodality and St. John's Catholic Church in New Paris. Preceded in death by husband: Max Harold Hoffman in 2003, Sisters: Barbara Wood and Betty O'Neil, Nephew: John Allen Wood in 1987.

Survivors include sons & daughter-in-law: Mark H. Hoffman and friend Kim, Eaton, OH, Neil & Sherri Hoffman, New Paris, OH; daughters & sons-in-law: Kathleen M. & James Stayton, Eldorado, OH, Andrea L. & Kevin Smallwood, New Paris, OH; Special niece: Jean Strickland and great nephew: Arron Walker, both of Richmond, IN. 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at St. John's Catholic Church, North Spring Street, New Paris, OH with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH. No Public Calling.
