Marla Kay Hammel

Marla Kay Hammel, age 63, of Berea, Ohio, and formerly of Lewisburg, died Friday, January 26, 2018 in Berea. She was born on January 16, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio. Marla was a member and valedictorian of the Twin Valley North Class of 1973 and was a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College, where she received both her Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master’s Degree. She loved music and adored her cats.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Lee Wolf in 2009; her father, Weston N. Hammel in 2017 and her brother Brett L. Hammel in 1964. 

Marla is survived by her mother, Violet “Vi” Hammel; step-daughter, Elizabeth (Mark) French; grandchildren, Ethan, Christian and Sarah French; numerous cousins and extended family. 

Graveside service and Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, 3147 U.S. Rt. 40 East, Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. Donald Trumbull officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
