Marilyn Louise Clark Ross

Our hearts are filled with sadness as we say goodbye for now to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend Marilyn Clark Ross.

Marilyn Louise Clark Ross, 74 of Eaton, Ohio died January 6, 2012. She was born July 19, 1937 in Richmond, Indiana daughter of the late Roy and Louise Emma Shelley Clark.

Marilyn graduated from Richmond HS in 1955. She worked for the Insurance Company of North America until she became a devoted wife and mother. In 1958 Marilyn married William D. Ross and on November 1st they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.

Bill and Marilyn have 3 children: Susan Ross RN of Eaton, Anne Ross Brower RN (and Dan) of Bellbrook, and Dr. W. Douglas Ross (and Debbie) of Oxford. They have 7 grandchildren: Carrie and Aaron Stephenson, Daniel, Brooke, and Austen Brower, Danielle and Alex Ross, and 1 great-granddaughter Adylan Panighetti. Marilyn has 3 siblings: Richard Clark (deceased), Wanda Clark (deceased), and Wilbur Clark of Richmond, Indiana. She has 17 loving nieces and nephews and countless other close family and friends.

Marilyn took great pleasure in serving her community through Concord Church. Most memorably Marilyn loved her family passionately. She greatly enjoyed and was dedicated to attending her grandchildren's fair, rodeo, athletic, and musical events. She was their biggest fan. Family gatherings on the farm, vacations to Longboat Key, and many summer days spent on Lake Lakengren created many of our most treasured memories.

Marilyn was a valiant and courageous warrior in her battle against breast cancer. She fought her battle the way she lived her life with courage, determination and grace.

We continue to feel blessed by her love and are privileged to be a part of the family she created.

We love you forever.

A reception of family and friends will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the social room in Concord United Church of Christ, 2225 Concord-Fairhaven Rd., Eaton, OH.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Marilyn C. Ross Memorial fund thru the Eaton Foundation c/o Robert C. Barnes, Treasurer, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320.
