Marilyn A. "Lyn" Hawley

Marilyn A. "Lyn" Hawley, age 96 of Eaton, OH died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Vancrest of Eaton. She was born on May 25, 1920 in Eaton, OH, daughter of the late Frank Walter & Mabelle B. (Berger) McCabe. Marilyn is a 1938 graduate of Eaton High School and from 1973 to 1985 owned and operated the Eaton Bookstore. She was a member of the Eaton United Methodist Church; the Alpha Garden Club and was an honorary member of the Omicron Sigma Sorority all of Eaton.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Wilbur E. "Pete" Hawley; daughter, Ann Elizabeth Roach and her brother, John McCabe, precede Marilyn in death.

Marilyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy E. and Christy Hawley of St. Charles, MO; her son-in-law, David W. Roach of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Lynn K. (Peter) Forgarty and Lara F. (Kurtis) Hawley Shubert; great grandchildren, Samuel Forgarty, Abby Schubert, Clara Forgarty and Paige Schubert; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Chris Farmer officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
